HISTORY & BACKGROUND
So there we were. Sitting around in the Firehouse big room waiting for our next box alarm talking about how we could drum up interest in doing something outside of work. We all work 24 hour shifts for a Massachusetts fire department so when we get out of work we want to do something completely different. A couple of us played paintball and have for several years. A couple of other guys had some interest but had never played. In fall 2004 we decided to go out to Windham, NH and take part in Canobie Paintball's Turkey Shoot. We took a couple of the guys that had never played before and got them set up with equipment (either spare stuff we had or rentals). They were hooked.
After that encounter with the legal drug known as Paintball, we had more people than we knew what to do with. For 2 winters we played indoors in a Speedball setting and all became better. Those that had never played learned about the snakes, cans, doritos, and the box. The more we played, the better our skills and equipment became.
In 2006 we decided to make ourselves an "official" team. We looked around for someone to sponsor us and found www.orderpaintball.com. A couple of us knew about them and knew that the products they sold were quality and their customer service was second to none. We knew that was where to start.
Now here we are. We don't play pro, nor do we think we can. We just go out looking to have fun at something we all enjoy. Our membership grows with each coming year and season. Every round of new hires to our department brings another person. Predominantly we play woodsball and we love it. Sure we dabble with speedball, but after all, we're fat. And we all know:
